Dressing Your Baby In The Latest Style

Dressing Your Baby In The Latest Style by Shaun Parker

Debate abounds today about whether celebrities are going overboard in their baby clothes habits. Ok, maybe I should re-phrase that - the clothes they put their babies in. Celebrities wearing baby clothes is a whole different subject that cannot be covered in this article without an 18 certificate!

The majority of us will, once we know a baby is imminent, will pop down the local mother and baby shop and be grateful if we can get all the paraphernalia that we are told our babies cannot survive without. How they think babies survived years ago without a plastic gadget for everything is quite amazing!

There are those mothers on a totally different level who would prefer to go down to Romford market and purchase miles of nylon baby clothes, provided it had a designer label on it - regardless of its genuineness. These are the types of mothers who put a lot of store by being able to copy a celebrity baby and they think that this type of accessorising puts them in the same league as the celebs themselves.

Unfortunately, this is not so. A chav mother is easily identified next to a real star!

You see, a celebrity is not responsible for the actions of these mothers. They have the money to blow on baby clothes for whatever reason they want. If they want a 140 pounds pair of Gucci pram shoes, what difference does it make to anyone else? They will be as comfortable as a 2.99 pounds pair from Mothercare but who wouldn’t buy their baby the cutest, most expensive designer wear they could afford?

An 80 pounds Prada baby gro may seem a little extreme to the average person but if you’re on a footballers wages, why shouldn’t you get one for your baby? What on earth is the point in having such an amazing wage packet as some of these celebrities if you don’t spend it on your loved ones?

These sorts of expenses may seem like an extravagance to the average Joe but if you have the means, then why not? It doesn’t mean that people have to keep up with those that can, it doesn’t mean anything to your child whether it’s dressed in high street cotton or Harrods cotton and it doesn’t change a persons worth depending on what they wear.

The issue is, as with many things, to keep a balance of common sense and to live within your means. If you live on a relatively meagre income, dress accordingly, dress your baby in comfortable clothes the best you can afford and above all else, keep them smiling. A families love cannot be matched by expensive baby clothes, no matter how great they may look. Many people are still in favour of babies being dressed in simple, cotton, easy to wash baby clothes.

There are also just as many people that are in favour of buying what you can afford if it’s the 355 pounds baby gro- if that’s what you want to do and as long as it has no detrimental effect to the way the child grows to view themselves or others.

It really is down to the intelligence and self-esteem of the individual that feels they have to emanate the stars and not live within their own budget but at the end of the day, as long as the baby is warm, dry and well cared for, what you wrap it in doesn’t really have any bearing.

Birthday Greetings and Gifts for Mom That She’ll Always Remember

Birthday Greetings and Gifts for Mom That She’ll Always Remember by Barry Mcgee

A few things are certain in life: one of them is that mothers are very popular among the gift industry. They really have you covered when it comes to birthday greetings for moms.

Or at least they think they do, and they might — if you like silver photo frames, scarves, perfume-and-lotion packages, potpourri, desk sets, or mirror-brush-and-comb sets. The thing is, she’s likely received plenty of those over the years and is probably eager for something new — she’s just waiting for you to FINALLY get with it and choose some new birthday greetings and ideas she’ll actually LIKE.

The key is to give her a present that will reward her in some way - either physically, such as a gift certificate for a full day at your city’s finest spa; mentally, such as a first-edition book by her favorite author; and/or socially, like a trip or vacation she’s always wanted to take — first class, of course, for Mom.

Birthday gifts for Mom should also be self-indulgent and downright decadent. She’s your Mom! It’s her birthday, and she deserves a wonderful, thoughtful present from you! So by all means, reward her: present her with a gourmet chocolate or food and wine basket, if that’s her fancy; or, if she prefers the beauty of flowers, send her a fresh, aromatic bouquet of “personalized” flowers, with a sentimental inscription — exclusively from you to her — actually imprinted on the petals.

Or, you can always stick to the more conventional gifts and still surprise her with your unique ideas: For example, music boxes will never go out of style as great birthday gifts — If she likes Beethoven, how about a piano-shaped music box that plays “Moonlight Sonata”? Elvis fan? Check. (And you don’t even have to go to Graceland for this one.) Led Zeppelin? Get a specially ordered music box with the band’s logo on it, blaring “Rock and Roll” and “Trampled Underfoot.” Is she a country music aficionado? Cowboy-hat-shaped music boxes crooning all the classics are right up her alley.

Birthday greetings for your Mom can come in all shapes, sizes, and even emotions. They don’t have to be wrapped up in special paper with a trendy bow; in fact, some of the best birthday greetings are the “intangibles.” The one thing to remember is that for Mom, your birthday greetings have to be from your heart. Just try some of these ideas or mesh them with a few of your own, and YOUR gift will put the biggest smile on Mom’s face when she opens her present.

Consider a Tummy Tuck to Help Tighten Your Abdomen

Consider a Tummy Tuck to Help Tighten Your Abdomen by Dave Stringham

Abdominoplasty, or a tummy tuck, as it is also known, is designed to correct a protruding abdomen resulting from weak abdominal muscles, weight gain or pregnancy. Obesity causes the skin to lose its elasticity. These conditions may not respond well to diet or exercise if the skin and underlying muscles have been stretched.

With abdominoplasty, the abdominal wall muscles are tightened and excess fatty tissue and skin are removed to improve the body contour. The goal is a narrower, flatter abdomen. Realistic expectations are important. A tummy tuck is not a substitute for weight loss.

Plastic and cosmetic surgeons considers age, obesity and smoking habits when evaluating a candidate for this procedure.

Your surgeon will take a complete medical history and conduct a careful examination to evaluate your general, overall health. Ideally, the abdominoplasty patient has no health problems, and wishes only to remove an excess deposit of fat or loose abdominal skin. Patients on a weight-loss plan should be close to their target weight before having the operation performed. Women planning future pregnancies should delay abdominoplasty, as pregnancy may promote further abdominal stretching.

Photographs will be taken before and after surgery.

Antibiotics will be prescribed prior to your tummy tuck to prevent infection. To minimize the possibility of excess bleeding, you will need to avoid taking drugs containing aspirin. You will also be advised to bathe with an antiseptic soap for several days prior to surgery.

Abdominoplasty is performed using general anesthesia. You may be given medication beforehand so you will feel relaxed. The surgery may take 2-5 hours, depending on the patient’s overall condition. You may be released after a few hours, or you may require a couple days of hospitalization.

The tummy tuck procedure is most commonly performed by making a U-shaped incision below one hipbone, across the pubic area and under the other hipbone. A second incision is made around the navel. The skin is then separated from the abdominal wall and lifted up to the hipbone, exposing loose tissue covering the abdominal muscle.

Loose, stretched out muscles are tightened with sutures, and excess skin and fat are removed. The skin is lowered over the abdomen and the navel is reconstructed. The incisions are then sutured together. Drains are often inserted to eliminate fluid buildup, and firm elastic bandages are applied to the area.

You may experience some discomfort immediately following a tummy tuck that can be controlled with pain pills prescribed by your surgeon. Some swelling is normal. You will be given special instructions for showering and changing your dressings until the surface stitches are removed in 5-7 days. You may also be required to wear a support garment.

The speed of recovery depends on your physical condition prior to surgery; those with stronger abdominal muscles usually recover faster. Allow at least 2-4 weeks to recuperate before returning to work.

Some scarring is also normal. It often takes 9-12 months before the scars begin to fade.

Though the recovery period is longer than that of other cosmetic procedures, the rewards are great for a patient undergoing a tummy tuck. Those who follow a proper exercise routine and healthy diet will benefit from abdominoplasty the most. Schedule a conultation with your surgeon to learn more.

Balancing Work And Family

Balancing Work And Family by Jim Brown

Do you have time to teach you child and also do you have a time to play to them. Even we are so busy these days. We should have to think how we can communicate with our children whenever we are at home. Most of the parents today are both busy on their jobs. We sometimes took for granted the obligation on our children, just keep thin in our mind our obligation on our children are not only just giving them the financial support such as sending them in good school, giving them the latest toys and sometimes braving them with money. Just to let us escape from our true obligation to them.

I have a friend who is a working mom before she had her second child. She only left her son to his nanny, before and whenever she is at home, she still carries the jobs she left from the office. She forgot that she had a son who is quietly waiting to carry him for a while and ask him how he does today. The routine is rolls over everyday of her life 5 times a week and sometimes 6 days. She can only attend to her child every weekend. Until had found out one day that her son is now more close to his nanny than her. Whenever he is hurt he run’s to his nanny. She ask me what to do I advised her to give a break make her child be with him and let his child know more of her, anyway she is now carrying another child and in couple of months there are now 2 kids to take care. I tell her that at this moment until the baby is not yet coming her time and devotion must be on her first born.

She filed an indefinite leave for 6 months. Because she decided to give time to his son and the same time to lose some stress for the coming of her new baby. On the six months of her leave she started to love her son more, she discover the small bright boy who only wants is to have her beside him. He make this moment always memorable on the two of them. Teach him everything a child would learn. Talk to him and play with him as much as she can. Until the day comes and she have to go back to work. It is really sad if you already like to be always beside you children but you cannot because she also think of their future and now she knows how to balance her work and her family.

To balance your work and family these are some tips to remember.

1. Explain to your child the work day and who will be taking care of them while you are working.

2. As much as possible avoid taking overtime work or being too stressed on the job.

3. Find rituals to connect you to your kids. Like talking to them over the phone, leave little notes on their bedside before you leave for the office.

4. And lastly leave your work at the office; don’t bring home the problem that stresses you. Be strict to you self do proper time management, because at home your family is now your job.
